Hey Everyone! So it's been a pretty exciting week here in Barcelona. While Lily was here last week, we walked around the city for what felt like an eternity, everyday we walked for at least 4 hours! I took her to the most rustic, hectic, confusing, but dirt cheap local tapas bar which was also soooo delicious. While waiting for our friends to arrive, I begged lily to play a game with me, and after she turned down having a sing down (i know, shocking. who could turn down a sing down??) we agreed on playing 20 questions in Spanish! It was actually pretty helpful. I also made friends with the security guard while trying to figure out what the menu even said (still don't really know what I ordered).

Lily and me in the Old City |
But after the tapas bar we went wandering the streets of Barcelona trying to find a cool bar to watch the Barcelona V Madrid futbol game. After walking around for an hour, we found a pretty lively one but had to sit on the floor since there were zero seats left. Worth I guess, Barca won and the bar went crazyyyyy. For all you Americans ... Barcelona v Madrid futbol game = superbowl status???
OH ALSO, powerade in spain is so much better than in the states. I dont even really drink powerade, or gatorade, or any type of flavored water for that matter, but its gotta be the sugar they use (not as processed or fake maybe) cause all I want to drink here is blue powerade. so good. Also there are delicious looking bakery's on every single street corner here and it's sooo tempting, but as of now I haven't bought anything from them yet. We'll see how that goes.

Lily and me by the beach! |
My weekend was very relaxing I went for a run along the beach and took a walk about passeig de gracia on a mission to find a bookstore that sold books in English. I found a few and on my journey found lots of cute shops where everything was on saleeeee! I'll have to go back there soon.
Anyway, that's all I can think of now to report. I have lots of travel plans coming up, Lisbon this weekend, then Sevilla, then Madrid. The VIP (visitor and information programs) (for those of you who dont know, its my job at school, basically the best in the world to have) is invading Barcelona! Everyone from VIP who's studying in Europe is coming to Barcelona and I can't wait! Plans for a trip to Brussels, Belgium are also in the midst for early march! Can't wait!!!
